We opened the 2014-15 academic year with some 14,000 students, including 2,185 "freshmen", who will be enjoying a unique learning experience as well as an upgraded and extended network of Technion City dorms. This includes a diverse mosaic of talented young people from across the world and from all walks of life. In addition to an array of programs in English, Technion also launched its second class of freshman students in Russian – a program designed to support an easy transition to undergraduate studies in Hebrew.
At Technion, togetherness is the guiding light. We seek togetherness on all levels, whether in sports, interdisciplinary studies, research or global collaboration. Togetherness is one of the key words that has helped Technion, as Israel’s first university, truly empower the thriving center of innovation which is Israel today.
In work and in play, in peace and in the pioneering of our shared global future, Technion is lighting the way, as you will find out in some of the amazing stories below.
If we want it, it is not a dream. Happy New Year, from all of us at Technion.
