ERC Postdoctoral Fellowship. The Turbomachinery and Heat Transfer Laboratory has initiated a new research project on Novel Heat Transfer Based Approach to Active Aviation Noise Cancellation, which is funded by the European Research Council (ERC). The laboratory has an opening for a postdoctoral fellow with prior degrees in Mechanical, Aeronautical, Aerospace Engineering, or related field. The selected individual will focus the majority of his research efforts in the field of Nano-Scale Heat Transfer Modeling. Assoc. ERC Postdoctoral Fellowship – requested profile: • A pre-existing solid background, or a strong desire to acquire knowledge, in the following subjects is essential: Micro- and Nano-Scale Heat Transfer, Solid State Physics, Advanced Heat Transfer and Multiphysics Modelling, Acoustics. • Proficiency in MATLAB and expertise in finite element / volume solvers (such as COMSOL, ANSYS, Fluent, CFX) is required. • High level of English language proficiency is desirable. • Candidates are expected to be self-motivated, hardworking and team players.
