Field of Research
We invite applications for highly-motivated students to pursue research in the broad field of flow and transport processes in porous media. The proposed projects will include experimental, numerical and theoretical investigation of multi-phase transport in deformable or multi-porosity media. The duration of MSc project is (6 months) and the PhD project is 3.5 years (42 months). Hiring

Requirements and Skills:
• For PhD projects: A master’s degree (or exceptionally a four-year bachelor’s degree) in
Mechanical, Aeronautical, Aerospace, Chemical, Civil Engineering, or related fields.
• Pre-existing knowledge in fluid dynamics and heat and, ideally, mass transfer.
• Previous experience in measurement techniques is desirable, but not mandatory.
• Basic knowledge of numerical methods. Knowledge of any programming language and/or
commercial/open source computational multiphysics software are an advantage.
• Fluent in English.
• Demonstrated ability to work within a highly collaborative research environment, good
communication and organizational skills, and scientific initiative are paramount.
