The Star Formation Group at the Technion (PI: Prof. Shmuel Bialy) invites applications for PhD student positions and Postdoctoral positions starting Fall 2025 (earlier starts possible). Our research combines theory, numerical simulations, and observations (JWST) to study interstellar turbulence, cosmic rays, and star formation in the evolving Universe. We offer competitive salary packages including social benefits. Our group maintains strong international collaborations with leading institutions in Munich, Paris, Boston, Washington D.C., and others. Members regularly participate in international conferences and research visits abroad.

Hiring

We seek highly competent candidates with strong backgrounds in astrophysics or related fields.
Both international and Israeli candidates are welcome. Postdoc positions are for 2-3 years.
