What are the dates of the Ignite Summer Program?
The program will take place between the 7th and the 28th of July, 2026.

Is the program conducted in English?
Yes. Ignite is an English-language program, and all academic, social, and extracurricular activities are conducted in English.

How academically demanding is the program?
The program is academically enriching while remaining appropriate for high school students. It combines classroom learning with hands-on projects, guided activities, and structured social experiences.

Do students receive official recognition upon completion?
Yes. Students who successfully complete the program will receive a Certificate of Completion issued by the Technion – Israel Institute of Technology.

Who is eligible to apply?
The program is open to high school students who are at least 17 years old. In rare cases, exceptionally strong students who are 16 years old may be considered. Preference is given to students in Grades 11–12.

What type of students is the program designed for?
Ignite is intended for academically strong students with a background in science and engineering and an interest in innovation and entrepreneurship.

Where will students stay during the program?
Participants will reside in on-campus Technion student dormitories (please note the dorms are very basic) or in other suitable accommodation, providing a safe and supervised living environment.

Are meals kosher?
Yes. All meals provided during the program are kosher.

What supervision is provided on weekends and during Shabbat?
Students participate in organized, supervised activities and trips during Shabbat. All activities are suitable for students who observe Shabbat.

Are there recreational facilities on campus?
Yes. Students have access to Technion sports facilities, including a swimming pool, gym, and tennis courts.

What should I bring?

Israel is very hot in the summer. Participants should bring light, comfortable clothing, bathing suits, and walking shoes. Technion dorms include washing machines, so there is no need to bring a large amount of clothing. A Technion Welcome Package, including bedding, towels, a backpack and hat will be provided to all participants. 

Does the program include trips within Israel?
Yes. The program includes organized trips to various locations in Israel, including historical sites, museums, and nature hikes.
