Field of Research
Demonstrating a novel heat engine for solar and waste heat conversion to electricity. Such an engine is based on an isothermal expansion of bubbles flow in a nozzle, where the liquid increases thermal energy density by three orders of magnitude. The simplicity (similar to hydroelectric) and low cost, open the way for 24/7/365 solar energy, and waste heat recovery.
Hiring

PhD and MSc researcher on a novel heat engine for solar and waste heat conversion to electricity.

Ph.D. and MSc student with prior degrees in Mechanical, Aeronautical, Aerospace Engineering, physics, or related field with an understanding of hydrodynamics and fluid dynamics. The selected individual will join the group effort in demonstrating a novel heat engine for solar and waste heat conversion to electricity. Such an engine is based on an isothermal expansion of bubbles flow in a nozzle. The research will be focused on designing and demonstrating an efficient nozzle, turbine, and isothermal compressor and other related topics.
