Humanities and Arts

Field of Research
The project, led by Dr. Dustin Lazarovici, investigates the longstanding problem of predicting the arrival times of quantum particles and whether new arrival-time experiments could help decide between different versions (or “interpretations”) of quantum mechanics.

The workgroup Philosophy of Physics at the Humanities and Arts Department of the Technion is looking for a Postdoctoral fellow and a Ph.D. candidate for an ISF-funded research project on the foundations of quantum mechanics.

Start Date: Flexible (as soon as possible)

Duration: Minimum 2 years

Funding: Full scholarship, no teaching requirement

Successful candidates will receive a full scholarship and the opportunity to conduct research on a topic of great physical and philosophical relevance.

Required qualifications are a degree (Ph.D. for Postdoc, M.A. or equivalent for Ph.D.) in physics, philosophy, or mathematics, as well as interest and expertise in the foundations of quantum mechanics (ideally, Bohmian mechanics) or numerical simulations.
