As part of a new research initiative, applications are invited for a full-time postdoctoral position at the Humanities & Arts department of the Technion in Haifa, Israel. The successful candidate will become part of the early modern philosophy and science workgroup supervised by Prof. Ohad Nachtomy, and conduct independent and collaborative research. Teaching is welcome but optional.
The goal of the new workgroup is to conduct cutting-edge research in history of philosophy and science and philosophy at the early modern period, and to foster interdisciplinary collaborations that link the humanities to science and technology. We have some preference to scholars working on Leibniz or Spinoza but the research topic is open.
The applicant is required to have a PhD in either philosophy, history, or history of science, awarded or close to completion. Ability and desire to conduct independent research are essential; a publication record in a pertinent field is highly desirable.
