Kick-start your career with a professional internship!
Students who come to the Technion for a semester abroad have the option of undertaking a professional internship at a high-tech or start-up company in Israel.
Working as an intern allows students to apply the engineering and scientific principles learned in the classroom to a real-world professional environment. Students will gain invaluable insights into the Israeli “Start-Up Nation” work culture as well as develop their professional skills and knowledge.
The internships are unpaid positions taken over a period of at least 10 weeks (minimum 200 hours) in the fields of science, engineering and marketing. During the internship, the company is required to provide the student with a meaningful project. The program is supervised by an academic director at Technion International, who is also reasonable for evaluating the candidates. The students are required to submit bi-weekly reports to the Academic Director. At the end of the program, based on the students’ reports and feedback from the company, the Academic Director will grade the internship, which grants the students three academic credit points.
