The workgroup Philosophy of Physics at the Humanities and Arts Department of the Technion is looking for a Postdoctoral fellow and a Ph.D. candidate for an ISF-funded research project on the foundations of quantum mechanics.
Start Date: Flexible (as soon as possible)
Duration: Minimum 2 years
Funding: Full scholarship, no teaching requirement
Successful candidates will receive a full scholarship and the opportunity to conduct research on a topic of great physical and philosophical relevance.
Required qualifications are a degree (Ph.D. for Postdoc, M.A. or equivalent for Ph.D.) in physics, philosophy, or mathematics, as well as interest and expertise in the foundations of quantum mechanics (ideally, Bohmian mechanics) or numerical simulations.

The Computational Molecular Engineering lab at the Technion is seeking talented and motivated individuals to join it for fully funded MSc and PhD positions for the year of 2024/25.

Stipend: $95,000 ($47,500 per academic year), plus travel and relocation allowance up to $1,700, (U.S. – Israel, under the Fly America act) for Fulbright fellows (and spouses).

Requirements
PhD in a relevant field (ethics, political philosophy, philosophy of technology, philosophy of mind, or similar areas), normally by the time of appointment. A track record in publications in the relevant disciplines will be considered a plus.
Project duration
The Post-doctoral project is part of the “LLMs and a Well-Rounded Approach to Human Flourishing” project, concluding on February 2025. Post-doctoral position is 6-8 months between July 2024-Feb 2025 (inclusive).
